Shepherd's Pie

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 medium size carrots, chopped
  • 500g beef mince
  • 400g tin of tomatoes
  • 250ml beef stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 sprig fresh oregano
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1.4 kg tubers (potato, seleriac, parsnip, your choice, your mix …)
  • 2 tsp horseradish
  • 75g butter
  • 55ml milk

Boil tubers, mash with butter and milk to make the mash.

Put olive oil in frying pan, fry until translucent. Add mince and fry until brown. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until the carrots are to your taste.

Put into form, spread the mashed potatoes carefully on top. Put at 190 degrees for 30 minutes into the oven.
