Satai Sauce


  1. 1 small red chili pepper
  2. 1/2 small onion
  3. 1 garlic clove
  4. 125 ml water
  5. 70g peanut butter
  6. 1 tsp peanut oil
  7. 1 tsp lemon juice
  8. 1/2 tsp balsamic vinegar
  9. 1/2 tsp brown sugar


Finely chop the 1/2 onion + chili pepper. Crush the garlic.

Put oil in saucepan, heat. Add onion, fry untio golden. Add garlic and chili and fry until fragrant.

Remove from heat, add peanut butter and stir smooth.

Back on heat, stir in water, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar and sugar. Thicken for 3 minutes or so.
